The new Volvo C40 Recharge Pure Electric has that certain something extra: In parallel with the first vehicles of the purely electric crossover to roll onto German roads, the newcomer to the Swedish premium car brand wins the prestigious Plus X Award. The award, presented in four categories, recognizes the distinctive design, high quality and functionality as well as the innovative character of the new Volvo model.
Volvo successful in 2021 with Recharge models and Care by Volvo car subscription
Despite the lack of semiconductors with consequent noticeable restrictions on production and the ongoing Corona pandemic, Volvo has maintained a stable position on the German market in 2021. With very good sales of the electrified Recharge models and a doubling of contracts for the Care by Volvo car subscription, Volvo Car Germany GmbH (Cologne) registered an increase in market share from 1.6 to 1.7 percent at the end of the year, while the number of subscriptions grew by around 100 percent from just under 2.900 on 5.750. In terms of new registrations, the German importer of the Swedish premium brand recorded a decline of 7.6 percent to 43 due to the supply bottlenecks compared to 2020, but this was not the case.616 units (2020: 47.194 units), but performed better than the market as a whole (down 10.1 percent).

The next step in the collaboration between Google and the Swedish premium automaker creates the most seamless connection yet with Google Assistant voice control, allowing Volvo customers to control various functions in their cars by giving voice commands to any Google Assistant-enabled home and mobile device.
