Under the hand the goal had already been tilted. Now the advisers of the Federal Government no longer ame that in 2020 a million e-cars go on German strain. The National Platform Electromobility (NPE) writes in your today (19. September 2018) in Berlin published progress report 2018, starting from the current market dynamics, the goal of one million e-cars is expected to be reached only 2022.
The NPE has been watching the e-auto market in Germany for eight years and speaks recommendations for the Federal Government. In 2010 she had spent the estimation that until 2020, a million e-cars roll on German threads. The Federal Government had made this goal too. Federal Chancellor Angela Merkel (CDU), however, had said even a year ago: "As it looks like it’s right, we will not achieve this goal."
For this way, the facts have been talking for a long time. At the beginning of 2018 just drove 98.280 pure stromasters and cars with plug-in hybrid drive on local threads. By the end of August, the Federal Corporation Office (KBA) paid this year again 45.422 new. But even this attracting trend was not enough to crack the brand.
In international comparison, the Autoland Germany is far behind states such as China, the USA, but also Norway, where electromobility is challenged politically stronger. The chairman of the NPE, Henning Kagermann, therefore emphasized in the transfer of the report to the Federal Government: "The one-million target remains a good political straightforward grocery."More important than the exact date, however, is a coherent overall system from offer, infrastructure, a climate-friendly energy system, services and legal framework conditions.
As a hemic shoe for the spread of electric cars, different reason are called. The cars are comparatively expensive, there were only a few models in the past to buy. The range of a battery charge was not up for a long time to the tank finishing.
At the same time, charging stations were missing to compensate for this drawback above all on long-range routes. According to the Federal Association of Energy and Water Management (BDEW), for a million E cars on the strain are 70.000 Normal charging points and 7000 fast charging points necessary. Last paid the BDEW only 13.500 public and partial charging points – such as in parking homes and hotels, including 13 percent fast-loader.
At the same time, there had been many initiatives and college projects to solve at least this problem. According to the will of the coalition, it should now be at least 100 until 2020.000 charging points for electric vehicles in addition. Manufacturers had founded a joint venture for building a shop network on busy routes. At least this initiative evaluates the NPE as a success: on the highways, according to the report, Germany will have the world’s first flat-plating charging network in 2018.
There are now 33 models of German car manufacturers on the market, until 2020 it should be the treasures of 100. "Is flanked by investing the public hand," explained today Bernhard Mattes, Prasident of the Association of the Automotive Industry (VDA). Thus, the Federal Government provided by September 2017 2.2 billion euros for research and development in the electromobilitat.
NPE-Prasident Kagermann is therefore confident that the one-million target can achieve delays with two years: "Market dynamics with high growth rates in Germany looks very positive and shows that we have achieved significant progress."
