Hannover, 11. July 2012 – VW donates the T5 model series two new engines. A 150 hp gasoline closing the cheeks between the 115 hp sucker and the gasoline engine with 204 hp. The new diesel, 140 hp strong, should be particularly economical. The new engines are available in transporters, caravelle, multivan and california.
Petrol in between
The two-liter turbo zinine makes 150 hp and offers a maximum torque of 280 nm, which applies between 1500 and 3750 rpm. The machine is offered for a manual six-speed connection and front drive. The box carriage reaches the TEMPO 100 mark in eleven seconds, the Multivan needs 12.5 seconds. Maximum are 180 km / h for both variants. The box carriage is given in the NEFZ with 9.5 l / 100 km, the multivan is 9.8 liters. Prices start at 30.280 Euro for the box, the Multivan is at least 33.272 euros expensive.
The new diesel engine makes 140 hp and generates its maximum torque of 340 nm between 1750 and 2500 / min. The BlueMotion technology includes start-stop system, recuperation, roll-resistant tires and cruise. The drive can be combined with a six-speed manual transmission or a seven-speed double-clutch transmission (DSG) at the front drive. For the four-wheel drive 4Motion variant, this motor does not use the manual manual transmission.
Sailing instead of switching off
Who chooses the DSG, gets still a freewheel function. Here, the gearbox automatically switches to idle when the driver takes the FUB from the accelerator pedal. This is to save sprite because one can roll as long as it is the case with the classic push shutdown of the case. As soon as the driver is brakes or manually switched, the freewheel is deactivated. The average consumption of the box carriage with manual circuit should be in the NEFZ at 6.9 l / 100 km. The Multivan is with at least seven liters, the all-wheel version with 7.8 l / 100 km. Prices start at 32.666 Euro for the box car, the MULTIVAN becomes at least 36.224 euros charged.
