Zf is powering eight stages hybrid transmission

The eight stages transducer machine for long installation with all-wheel-fit fitness of ZF is already ten years in production and has been continuously improved during this time. For the 2022, fourth generation of the 8HP, ZF has decided to make the transmission of modular gearboxes even more flexible with regard to various hybrid variants.

For example, ZF creates prerequisites to manobinate something strong on increasingly unuitable expectant terrain manovring.

Although the crops mentioned were noveles of the 8hp, compact, but already: until a month ago it was installed in the BMW 1er (test), but also works in powerfully motorized, heavy SUV such as the Audi Q7 or commercial vehicles such as Iveco Daily or VW Crafter (Test). Decisive in the fourth generation of the 8HP is in addition to the flexibility with regard to vehicle dimension and torque spectrum but also a performance increase in the electric drive components. High power density with compromises

The high permanent power density of the coarse e-machine requires more copper in the windings, which achieves ZF with the so-called hairpin technique. Instead of winding the sheet metal packages, hairpin-shaped copper lines are inserted with a rectangular cross-section in the slots of the stator and welded at their open ends with connection prere. This is complicated and influences frequency-or speed-dependent electrical efficiency of the machine. That was possible, however, it would be unproblematic in view of the wide range spread of the 8HP. In particular, this applies compared to e-machines with only a fixed translation. Today they are standard in battery-electric vehicles, but artists will work together with a multi-speed gearbox. ZF has just presented a two-gear gear for this purpose, even from other drive specialists are already proposed in the automakers.
