Wolfsburg, 9. April 2010 – VW wants to assert his top position in this class with the second facelift of Touran built since 2003. At the Leipziger Automess Ami (10. to 18. April 2010) For the first time, Volkswagen introduces the second facelift of the over a million times sold bestsellers.
Touran with brand face
Each body part was redesigned except for the four tens. Touran plays the current brand design of Volkswagen: above all the redesigned front with modified headlamps and black sparkling cooler barbecue is reminiscent of Polo, Golf and the Touareg. In combination with xenon headlights, there are now LED daytime running lights. In the side view, the window line rising in the rear area is falling up. The tailpiece was also newly shaped and should optically beat the Brucke for the new Sharan. So the jerk lights now protrude into the packing room flap and are almost completely kept in red. In addition, the Stobfang is now completely painted again. A new roof edge spoiler reduces air turbulence in the tail area and contributes to a CW value lowered from 0.32 to 0.29. The tailgate itself should be much easier to lure thanks to other gas springs. A better view back promises the intimated rear window.
Inside new: steering wheel and climate control
In the interior of Touran, artificial materials and controls are used for art. The center console with modified air conditioning control was obstructed visually as well as the now enclosed in chrome air duels. The instruments are backlit like the Golf Weib, there is a new three-spoke steering wheel. For improved protection of cargo the side wall of the trunk are redesigned and now covered with carpet. Especially people who often use their trunk were allowed to know that was the old plastic planking rather scratch-sensitive. As before, the tourans can be ordered as a Funf or seven-seater.
