It is well known that web applications are particularly exposed and therefore more vulnerable to attacks than other applications. For years, the Open Web Application Security Project has been working to raise awareness of security in web application development. Its OWASP top ten describe the ten most common security risks in web applications and are referenced in many security standards.
In the two-day online workshop OWASP Top 10: Avoiding Critical Web Application Security Risks, Tobias Glemser, BSI-certified penetration tester and OWASP German Chapter Lead, will explain and demonstrate the OWASP Top 10 and how to assess these risks. Participants learn about the risks as well as countermeasures.
The interactive online workshop will take place on 12. and 13. August in the morning. Participants will have the opportunity to ask questions and exchange ideas with the speaker and other participants. The number of participants is limited to 20 to ensure interactivity. The workshop is intended for developers, product owners, security managers, architects, and administrators who have a basic understanding of web applications, as well as a basic knowledge of programming and information security.
As a technical platform for the workshop we use BigBlueButton. Participation can be done through a browser on any computer with a microphone and speakers or a headset. It is not necessary to create an account to participate.
